Consulting & training, with Love
"I am passionate about helping develop a knowledgeable, ethical, clinically adept, and culturally responsive behavioral health workforce. Those receiving training, clinical supervision, or consultation from me can expect me to be respectful, prepared, objective/challenging, humorous, nonjudgmental, congruent, and encouraging. Instead of viewing myself as the “expert”, I consider my role within the learning relationship as that of a facilitator with some expertise; as an instigator rather than an instiller of learning."

Supervision Style & Philosophy
My approach to supervision integrates concepts from Solution-Focused Supervision and the Discrimination Model. I view clinical supervision as a safe, supportive, and collaborative relationship between supervisor and supervisee, wherein the supervisor is invested in the professional growth and development of the supervisee.
Using the Discrimination Model framework, as a supervisor, I alternate between the roles of “teacher”, “consultant”, and “counselor” to ensure that supervisees' needs are met according to the concerns presented in the session. I also incorporate a solution-focused approach to goal planning and emphasize ‘solution finding’, more so than problem-solving, in addressing supervisee concerns.
